The currency of the data varies per area and/or data provider.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN><SPAN>Salinity data is measured in one of two ways:<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN><SPAN>Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in units of milligrams per litre (mg/L), which measures the weight of dissolved content per litre of water.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN><SPAN>Electrical Conductivity (EC) in units of micro-Siemens or milli-Siemens per centimetre (µS/cm or mS/cm).
