The currency of the data varies per area and/or data provider.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Salinity data is measured in one of two ways:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in units of milligrams per litre (mg/L), which measures the weight of dissolved content per litre of water.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Electrical Conductivity (EC) in units of micro-Siemens or milli-Siemens per centimetre (µS/cm or mS/cm).
