The NGIS aquifer salinity dataset was loaded into the updated Geofabric Aquifer Salinity data model. HydroIDs were assigned to each aquifer feature. Selected attributes were also updated e.g. dates and agency name changes. Data sets were combined into a single ArcInfo coverage and adjusted to align with the national coastline and then converted to a single file geodatabase feature class. Overlapping salinity polygons were clipped to their respective aquifer boundary, typically slivers resulting from digitising errors. Where underlap slivers existed, the polygons were extended to match the aquifer boundary.
