The features have been organised into specific Feature Class subtypes based upon both the inputs from the AusHydro V2 Watercourse feature class and their behaviour within the AHGF stream network relationships. MappedFlowSegment:corresponds to an existing blueline stream from AusHydro V2 Watercourses MappedArtificialFlowSegment: corresponds to a stream flow "connector" from AusHydro V2 Watercourses. These are additional stream segments that represent logical stream flow direction when compared to the AHGFNetworkStreams. MappedWaterAreaSegment: these are logical stream flow connectors through AHGFWaterbodies. All of these features participate in the connected stream flow topology.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</idAbs>

As such, the natural water course layer consists of a linear network with a consistent topology that provide directional flow paths through the network for hydrological analysis. Aushydro V2 includes Geoscience Australia's national surface hydrology database which is a selection of features from the regional surface hydrology database, at a comparable 1:250,000 mapping density. Additional Regional features have been added where necessary to ensure important features such as flow paths are included in the Geofabric. This natural watercourse dataset consists of directional flow paths and provides a direct link to the flow paths derived from the DEM.</suppInfo>
